📖 The Story Behind the Bite

Welcome to Araf, a land plagued by a bizarre curse—the blood is flowing uncontrollably. You play as Henry the Hyperactive Flea, a tiny creature with a big heart who can’t stop jumping.

Henry’s goal? Save his flea friends from the greedy Ticks who are hoarding the world’s blood supply. Along the way, you’ll encounter bizarre bosses, treacherous traps, and pixel-perfect platforming challenges.

Inspired by classic titles like Super Meat Boy, Battle Kid, and Cave Story, FLEA blends nostalgic 8-bit aesthetics with modern indie game design philosophy.

FLEA was created by Alastair Low, founder of Lowtek Games, as a love letter to retro gaming and accessibility in game development. Originally coded for the NES, the game was produced using real hardware and successfully funded through Kickstarter in 2020.
