✅ Automatic Game Cover Display

• SAROO automatically matches game IDs from your TF card
• Displays the corresponding cover art—no user input needed.
• Press the Square button in cover mode to toggle cover display layers.
• Cover size formats:
• Japanese: 128×128
• European: 128×192

✅ Burned Disc Support (No Mod Chip Required)

• Load Saturn back up game discs directly from the SAROO or 9-ball interface.
• Full region compatibility with no need for Pseudo Saturn or internal mods.
• On disc loading, SAROO functions as a 1/4MB RAM expansion and memory card.

✅ Smart Memory Management

• SAROO uses its own backup memory by default.
• To use the console’s internal backup memory, press the C key in the 9-ball interface before starting the game.
• The default external memory card remains active in all cases.
• When selecting “Load Game Disc” from the SAROO interface, pressing C enables console memory instead of SAROO memory.

Loading Your Own Games

The SAROO cartridge allows you to play your own legally owned Sega Saturn game backups directly from a microSD card.

Recommended microSD Cards

• SanDisk Ultra / Extreme
• Samsung EVO Plus
• Kingston Canvas Select Plus
• Lexar Professional

For the best compatibility, use a Class 10/UHS-I microSD card formatted as exFAT (FAT32 is also supported for smaller cards). Cards from 32GB up to 512GB are commonly used.

Supported Game Format

• .CUE + .BIN (Recommended)

Each game should be stored in its own folder containing the .cue file and all associated .bin files.

Once your games have been copied to the SAROO/ISO folder, insert the microSD card into your SAROO cartridge, power on your Sega Saturn, and your games will automatically appear in the SAROO menu.

Please Note: This product does not include any games. Only use backup copies of Sega Saturn games that you legally own.

🛠 Troubleshooting & Tips
When LEDs don’t light up:

• File configuration error on the TF card.
• Poor contact with the Saturn cartridge slot.
• Rapid button presses causing the program to freeze.
• If games crash, freeze, or have audio issues:
• Re-insert SAROO and slightly lift it to the left or right after full insertion.
• Use different game versions if image files are corrupt or misplaced.
• Replace the TF card with one that has faster read speeds.
• Early Saturn motherboard versions (VA0/VA0.5/VA0.8) may have compatibility issues.
• Some issues stem from the age and condition of the console.
• Firmware updates may resolve compatibility problems.

Known Compatibility Notes:

Metal Slug and Symphony of the Night may have occasional dropped frames. This is a known limitation due to the Saturn’s dual-CPU architecture and suboptimal game porting—not a SAROO defect.

If stuck on the startup screen:

Game image file may be corrupted.

Try mounting the image with virtual CD tools like Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%, then re-save it in BIN+CUE format using UltraISO.

⚠️ Usage Warnings:

• Do not hot-swap the SAROO while the console is powered on.
• Avoid exposure to moisture, extreme temperatures, or physical impact.
• Before first use after long-term storage, clean the cartridge’s gold-plated contacts with alcohol.
